CUC International was formed as Comp-U-Card in 1973. In 1996, they sought to expand into the interactive software market. They purchased several video game companies including Sierra and Davidson. In December 1997, they merged with HFS Incorporated and became the Cendant Corporation. In 1998, they were involved in a scandal when it was revealed they were falsifying records of their income since 1983. They were required to pay restitution to their shareholders, and sell off their divisions. Their entertainment division was sold to Havas S.A. on November 19, 1998.
They published Coktel Vision's Playtoons Limited Edition - Bambou le Sauveur de la Jungle and Adi 4 in France.
