LucasArts is a video game company founded by George Lucas. Before becoming a seperate entity, the games were released under the LucasFilm label.

While building it's reputation as a company for excellent graphic adventures beginning in the late 1980s, the company switched to marketing the StarWars franchise in the late 1990s. It is doubtful whether LucasArts will produce any more adventure games.

LucasArts produced many adventures like the Monkey Island series based on the SPUTM engine, which used the SCUMM scripting language, which also gave ScummVM its name.

The last 2 LucasArts Adventures Grim Fandango and Escape from Monkey Island did, being 3D Adventures, not use the SCUMM scripting language.
