Police Quest: In Pursuit of the Death Angel was the first game in the Police Quest series. The game follows Sonny Bonds, a veteran policeman in the fictional town of Lytton, California. He is assigned to traffic duty, and investigates a car crash that turns out to be a suicide. He becomes a temporary detective and later goes undercover in pursuit of the murderous drug dealer Jesse Burns, also known as "The Death Angel".
