James Clavell's Shōgun is a text adventure by Infocom that is based on James Clavell's novel, Shōgun. The story follows John Blackthorne, a pilot general of the Dutch trading ship Erasmus in the year 1600. After his vessel shipwrecks in Japan, he must survive in a land where he knows neither the local customs nor the language.
