Talk:SCUMM/Versions
Logical version numbers?
In several cases, the version number within the executable doesn't really match the technology used by the game. The only two that come to mind are Loom CD (5.1.42, even though it is much closer to v4) and Sam & Max CD (says 7.0.2 but is really v6). Would it be appropriate to list the 'logical' version numbers on this page (i.e. the ones that ScummVM actually uses internally) and, if so, where in the table? --Quietust 07:36, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
- I believe this has been implemented ("Engine version" column in the table) Fingolfin 16:41, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Wrong / missing version entries
Some of the program versions listed in the table look suspicious, I marked those with a question mark. If you can confirm any of these is real, please remove the question mark. In addition, I own some "extra" versions that don't seem to be listed in the table... Hence I am now starting my own list here, so that we can rework the actual list by adding a "Reported by" field
- 5.3.02 CD (Jun 02 1992 18:44:19) -> used in the multilingual Monkey Island with audio CD track, for PC
- 5.0.16 -> monkeyvga, german & spanish PC floppy versions
- 5.2.02 (Nov 21 1991 08:35:15) -> MI2, German PC
- TODO
If you have any other versions, please state so here Fingolfin 16:41, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
HE Game Versions
Should we include the HE Game versions on this page, or a separate one? --Clone2727 20:01, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
HE Games really aren't worth listing at all. As they don't have clear versions in the original interpreters, and have multiple releases of most games (with different versions of interpreter). Kirben
