The AGOS Engine was originally created by Alan Cox at HorrorSoft and is based on AberMUD V, with graphical extensions. The AGOS engine was used in the following games:

  • Elvira - Mistress of the Darkness (1990)
  • Elvira 2 - The Jaws of Cerberus (1991)
  • Elvira 3 - Waxworks (1992)
  • Simon the Sorcerer (1993)
  • Simon the Sorcerer 2 (1995)
  • The Feeble Files (1997)

The source code for AberMUD V was released in October 1995.

The Acorn (CD) and PC versions of Simon the Sorcerer are supported.

The Amiga, Macintosh and PC versions of Simon the Sorcerer 2 are supported.

We have recently obtained the source code for The Feeble Files from Adventure Soft, which will be added to ScummVM.
