Not satisfied with performance of Atari/FreeMiNT build based on generic SDL code, in 2023 Miro Kropacek created a new Atari backend.
This specific build is mainly targeted at Atari Falcon with a higher-end accelerator like the AfterBurner040 or CT60.
A long-term goal is to unify at least some parts of the former Atari/FreeMiNT (SDL) code into a single code base.
