Not satisfied with performance of Atari/FreeMiNT build based on generic SDL code, in 2023 Miro Kropacek created a new Atari backend.
This specific build is mainly targeted at TT030 (ideally equipped with ThunderStorm and Speedy) and Falcon030 with TT RAM (like DFB[1X] and CENTurbo II). It is a stripped down version of Atari Full - compiled for the 68030/68882, without high resolution (640x480) support and with only simple overlay UI.
A long-term goal is to unify at least some parts of the former Atari/FreeMiNT (SDL) code into a single code base.
