Laura Bow: The Colonel's Bequest was the first game in the Laura Bow series. The game is set in the 1920's, and follows a college student and wanna-be journalist named Laura Bow. Laura is invited by her friend Lillian to a sugar plantation run by Colonel Dijon. When the Colonel invites his relatives to a reading of his will, bickering about the terms of the will turns violent, and leads to murder. Now Laura has to find out the family secrets so that she can ultimately determine which person is the murderer.
