Manhunter: New York takes place in the (at the time of release) futuristic setting of 2004, where Earth has been enslaved by an alien race known as the Orbs. Humans are forced to wear robes and prohibited from speaking. After discovering that the aliens are harvesting humans for food, the player must embark on a mission to overthrow the Orbs and free humanity.
