SWAT 3 was the third game in the SWAT series. Due to the move from the 2D strategy genre to the first person shooter genre, this game no longer beared the Police Quest moniker.
The player is in charge of a 5-man SWAT team, who has to ensure that the Nuclear Abolishment treaty proceedings go smoothly without incident through a total of 16 missions. Due to the player being a police officer, the suspects must be arrested rather than killed. The improper use of deadly force is penalized in the game.
