The ScummVM Wiki seems to have no license. Most wikis use the [http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/fdl.html GNU Free Documentation License] or the [http://creativecommons.org/license/wiki Creative Commons Wiki License]. --[[User:Matthias|Matt]] 16:27, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

:Of course we only need a license if we plan to actually, well, license the content of the Wiki, i.e. allow others to copy / replicate / "make use of" its content. To me it seems far more important to first add a proper copyright disclaimer (and [[General disclaimer]] is empty right now). After that we can still discuss whether we want to license the whole thing, and under which license to do that (there are more alternatives than the two mentioned above, too). ScummVM Wiki License

The ScummVM Wiki seems to have no license. Most wikis use the GNU Free Documentation License or the Creative Commons Wiki License. --Matt 16:27, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Of course we only need a license if we plan to actually, well, license the content of the Wiki, i.e. allow others to copy / replicate / "make use of" its content. To me it seems far more important to first add a proper copyright disclaimer (and General disclaimer is empty right now). After that we can still discuss whether we want to license the whole thing, and under which license to do that (there are more alternatives than the two mentioned above, too).
