Adding Beneath a Steel Sky to the ScummVM Launcher

Data

  1.
    The ScummVM Launcher
Before you can play Beneath a Steel Sky, you will have to download the freeware game from here. You can choose between CD or Floppy version. The Floppy version is smaller, which might be better if your internet connection is slow, but it does not have speech. After you have downloaded the file you will have to unzip it. If you want to use your own copy of BASS make sure that you copy the needed Datafiles on your hard-drive. Move all files to your game folder e.g. ~/scummvm/BASS.

ScummVM

  1.
    ScummVM File Browser
After you have started ScummVM click on   and navigate with the file browser to the directory where you have stored BASS.
  2.
    BASS Settings
allows you to reach higher level directories - double click on a directory opens this directory. Once you have navigated to the folder that contains the BASS files (e.g. ~/scummvm/BASS) click on  .
  3.
The ScummVM Launcher with BASS added
Now ScummVM tries to detect "Beneath a Steel Sky" and a dialog box allows changing various settings but you don't need to change any of them. Click   and BASS will be added to ScummVM.
  4.
    Beneath a Steel Sky
If you want to play the game just choose Beneath a Steel Sky from the Launcher and click  .

Troubleshooting

ScummVM could not find any game in the specified directory!

Make sure that you have copied all Datafiles to your hard-drive and that you have chosen the correct directory. Also you need to open the directory (with a double click) and not just select it before clicking on  .
