Dark Seed II was the sequel to the Cyberdreams adventure game Dark Seed. Like its predecessor, it was based on the artwork of H. R. Giger and follows a writer named Mike Dawson. Following the events of the previous game, Mike suffered a nervous breakdown. Attempting to regain his sanity, he moves back in with his mother in his childhood home town of Crowley, Texas. At his high school reunion, Mike's high school girlfriend is found murdered, and everyone suspects Mike of the murder. It appears that the ancients from the previous game have returned, and Mike must venture through alternate realities to clear his name and stop the ancients from taking over the world.
