There are a number of Total Eclipse demos for different platforms, all of them are interactive. Demos will allow to play a couple of areas and challenge the player to get some maximum score and feature some areas which are NOT in the full game. These demos, as well as other Freescape games ones, can be freely downloaded here.
ZX Spectrum demos
Two similar demos were featured in Crash magazine (issue #58, November 1988) and Microhobby magazine (issue 184, January 1989).
To play it, extract the files following the same instructions as the full release.
CPC demo
A demo featured in Amstrad Action (issue #40, Christmas 1988 / January 1989). To play it, extract the files following the same instructions as the full release.
