Beyond the Threshold is an adventure game that follows the Lovecraftian occultist and paranormal scholar Friedrich Wilhelm von Junzt, as the dark forces that he has studied begin stalking him. He must discover the nature of his pursuer, and obtain the necessary components to send it back into the Cyclopean ruins.
