King's Quest: Mask of Eternity was the eighth game in the King's Quest series, and the first game to be rendered in 3D. Connor Maclyrr has picked up a broken mask piece that fell from the Realm of the Sun, the land of the gods who live above Daventry. Since picking up the mask piece has caused everyone in Daventry to be turned to stone, he must collect the remaining mask pieces, travel to the Land of the Sun, and discover what had caused the curse and defeat the person responsible.
