Ultima I: The First Age of Darkness was the first game in the Ultima series of role-playing games. In the land of Sosaria, the evil wizard Mondain created a gem over 1000 years ago that granted him immortality. To stop Mondain's reign, Lord British seeks the help of a person who he informs will have to find and activate a time machine and travel back in time to kill Mondain before he creates the gem of immortality.
