TimeScape: Journey to Pompei is an adventure game that takes place during a raging war in the 20th century. While trapped in a cave, cartographer Adrian Blake is visited by the goddess Ishtar who vows to save him in exchange for his love. He refuses, and escapes, only to find that his fiancée is missing. He realizes he is cursed by Ishtar, and goes to her for help in finding his lost fiancée, Sophia. Ishtar sends him back in time to the year 79 A.D. where he must win the love of Sophia, as a complete stranger.
