Cranston Manor, marketed as Hi-Res Adventure #3: Cranston Manor, is a text adventure game with graphics. A thief invades a mansion that was occupied by a millionaire to steal the sixteen treasures that are inside of it.

Required data files

For more information on how ScummVM uses game data files, see the user documentation.

Apple II disk image

  • CRANSTON.D13

Other disk image formats can be used, see ADL Disk Images for more information.

The .D13 format is a raw 13-sector disk image. Track 0, sector 10 is missing on the disk and should be zeroed out in the image (the KryoFlux tools seem to fill this sector with random garbage instead). This sector covers the 256 bytes starting at offset 2560 in the image.

Notes

The original author was Larry Ledden, who developed The Cranston Manor Adventure for Atari 8-bit computers and for the CP/M operating system using a custom data-driven engine. He sold the rights for the illustrated version, developed by Ken Williams and Harold DeWitz, to Sierra. The text-only versions are not supported by ScummVM.
