Installing games
Your new "installing games" section is good, but should it go before the bit about adding the games in the launcher? It seems like it should, logically, but not sure where it should go. Spookypeanut 7 March, 2009
- I was thinking of doing it too. But this is going to be a long section and the "Adding a game" part is important enough to stay well visible near the top. Maybe we could add a small "Installing game" section at the top (with what is currently the introduction of the section), rename the last section "Instructions for installation of specific game" (I don't like that title much though) and add a link from the new Installing game section to that section. - I see your point. IMO, we should have a "Game specific instructions" page, completely separate. Thus the introduction (i.e. copying games to hdd, etc) remains here, with a link to that (poss particularly stating that multi-cd games have issues, to make sure that users check it). Other game specific instructions could be on that page too: hotkeys, etc. Spookypeanut 14:52, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
And do you think BS1, BS2, etc, should be sub-heading of "multi-cd games"? Spookypeanut 7 March, 2009
- I am using the layout of the ReadMe file there. The idea is that I want to add instructions for more games (those for which there are instructions in the ReadMe) and not all of them are multi-cd games. Of course we could have all the multi-cd games under the "multi-cd games" heading and the other ones at the level above. After reflection that seems more logical. Criezy 11:04, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
General Layout
Once the page is complete it is going to be big. Should we split it and have separate pages (in appendix?) for some more advanced parts (e.g. hotkeys, command line arguments) and keep on this page on only shorts introduction and links to these new pages. Criezy 11:04, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
- See my answer above (i.e. putting specific game stuff in a separate page). Having that page as an appendix also sounds sensible Spookypeanut 14:53, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
- Sounds good. I will do that. Criezy 15:15, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
Do all the engines support the RTL and Options from the GMM? All the ones I tried do. Criezy 12:04, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
Which engines support load and save from the GMM in version 0.13.0?
- The ones I tried that do: BASS, DOTT, Tucker, Lure, 7guest (Load only), Kyra, Touche
- The ones I tried that don't: Elvira, FOTAQ, BS1 (added in SVN), BS1, Gob, COMI
Would it make sens to have a table with this info somewhere? Criezy 12:04, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
