General Issues

  • Add support for deleting and renaming of files, to enable original game's load and save system.
  • Add support for drawWizImage masking, triggered by flag 0x80 (Used in maze and putttime)
  • Add support for drawWizComplexPolygon (For Ski Ride & Credits of pajama3)
  • Dog and probably other games may write non-ASCII characters and '=' into .ini fields values.
 An example of such entry is highscore: "_HS=!$Q!B  Ñ‘=m4". Hex representation of the value is
 "21 24 51 21  42 20 20 a3 3d 6d 34". Probably we substitute non-ascii characters as well as '='
 by \xYY like it is done in C.

Sound system

Complete support for music/sound engine of the games

  • Multiple sound channels (8 channels)
  • Pool music and select music from pool
  • Sound variables (26 variables)
  • Sound flags (Looping and others)
  • Process sound code from SBNG resources, using a secondary process in main loop

U32 library calls

Complete the U32 library calls, triggered by case 2001 of kernelGetFunctions/kernelSetFunctions. Unfortunately the U32 library calls are unique in each HE game.

  • The U32 code controls the players movements on field in basketball

Big Thinkers 1st Grade

Issues effect demo and full game.

  • The image of painting in room isn't updated correctly, after painting your own picture.

Issues effect full game only

  • The car gets stuck in the smart star challenge, maybe sound related ?

Fatty Bear

  • Add support for sound pitch changes for piano notes in DOS version.
  • Regressions which cause parts of the inventory area to be shown in upper left corner in many rooms.

Freddi Fish 2

Issues effect demo and full game.

  • Animation isn't synced during songs (ie the music when talking to captain near submarine)

Issues effect full game only

  • When using chalk on black board in school, can draw slightly outside the bounds.

Freddi Fish 3

  • A black vertical strip is drawn over key, when the key is trapped in the Darkroom.

Freddi Fish and Luther's Water Worries

  • The characters of 'LOADING----' message at start of each level are displayed at wrong positions
  • Russian updated version has bad picture in resource which shows up as garbage even with original interpretator. It crashes ScummVM at elast under Win32. With FreeBSD it works ok.

Let's Explore with Buzzy Games

  • Graphical glitches around screen edges (ie when trying to go outside in farmdemo) sometimes. The drawing section of akos codecs needs to be adjusted to draw inside rect (src/dst) limits.

Pajama Sam 1

  • The characters in the 'Kitchen' should each sing a unique song

Noticed in demo and checked in full game. Present in both:

  • When Otto (boat) puts its pod to the water, the pod is shifted down by few pixels.

Pajama Sam 2

Noticed in demo and checked in full game. Present in both:

  • On a close up to the vacuum cleaner PJ's eyes and mouth are rendered several pixels lower
  • When you release Inspector at the roof top, his head is rendered above his body, so there is a gap in his neck

Pajama Sam 3

  • Pajama Sam is always shown wearing a pumpkin over head in 'A Complex Exterior'.
  • Sprites aren't shown during 'Ski Ride', due to lack of zoom and angle support.
  • The images in 'Credits' aren't zoomed out and rotated, due to lack of zoom and angle support.

Pajama Sam's Lost & Found

These Issues only effect the full version of game

  • Pajama Sam and Otto are still talking on the first level, as the first items are been shown.
  • Graphical glitches around screen edges in HE100 version only.
  • Items to collect are sometimes removed from interface when collected, instead of a tick been displayed over the item. An example is collecting the teddy bear on level 8 (Passcode is J4V1Y)
  • Graphical glitches after collecting items on level 6 (Passcode is K1E6W), occurs as soon as comic book is collected.

Putt-Putt Joins The Circus

  • No cursor image or zoom when using magnifying glass

Putt-Putt Enters The Race

  • The animation isn't synced during song, after selecting yellow motor scooter at the speedway location.
  • The balls get stuck in the pinball type game at the the pachinko location, which uses case 1140 of logic dispatch.
  • Outback Al's head disappears when first talking to him, in the outback location.

Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo

  • When you encouner Kenya the lion cub for the first time, you see a short cutscene. When Kenya tries to jump, her back is teared off with waterfall drops. This problem only occurs in the HE72 version.

Putt-Putt Travels Through Time

  • When the T-Rex is moving stone blocks, he is not masked by these blocks, due to lack of masking support in drawWizImage.
  • At the beginning, when Mr. Firebird is explaining the time portal, Putt-Putt is shown briefly. He's just listening but his mouth is moving as if he was doing the talking.

  • The characters of 'LOADING-----' message at start of each level are displayed at wrong positions

Putt-Putt's Fun Shop

  • Add support for processWizImage modes 7, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 17.
  • All custom cursors (like brush or snowflake) have incorrectly set hotspot
  • Shapes are drawn wrong. See screenshots. Note that set of chaotic lines under cursor on ScummVM screenshot is the filled in zig-zag of original.

  • Add support for resource queuing, to help playing from CD.
  • Add 16bit color support for later HE games
  • Add support for wizImage codec 2, which is just raw images of 16 bits per pixel in 555 format
  • Add support for wizImage codec 5, which is a modified version of codec 1 to handle images of 16 bits per pixel in 555 format
  • Add compression support for music/speech files

Spy Fox 3

  • Entering 'Pearl' location, causes an invalid rect assert when clipping box2 in fillWizRect().
  • The wrong palette is shown in 'Intro' sequence after riding skateboard out of first room.
  • Palette issues in many other locations.

Freddi Fish 5

  • Add support for wizImage compression type 2. which is used for background images of all the light green colors rooms (Of debug room).
  • Add support for displayWizComplexImage 0x80000 flag, which is used in the introduction.

Soccer 2004

  • Add support for wizImage compression type 2. which is used for background images of many rooms, including the titles and main options.
  • Add support for processWizImage mode 7.
