= Explanation of Touch Controls =
When the option Touchpad Mouse Mode under options->controls is off, the touch controls are direct, like on a mobile phone. The mouse pointer always jumps to the finger. The rear touch panel is disabled to prevent accidental pointer movement just by holding the Vita.
When the option Touchpad Mouse Mode under options->controls is on, the touch controls are indirect, like on a laptop touchpad. In that mode, both front and back touch panels are enabled. And each one acts like a laptop touchpad where the finger can be far away from the pointer and still move it. In this mode, the pointer is not always directly where the finger is, so it does not obscure the view. In this mode, the pointer speed setting in options->controls can be used to change how far the pointer moves in response to a certain finger motion.
