Tetris is a puzzle game by Alexey Pajitnov. It was originally developed in a text format as it was designed on an Elektronika 60, a computer that had no graphic output.

Kent Tessman adapted the game to another text-based format, the Hugo text adventure engine, in 1998, based on the 1995 Z-machine version, Freefall, by Andrew Plotkin.

Peter Kelley adapted the game for the AGI engine, as AGI Tetris, in 1998.

Off Studio and Dead:Code created an adult-oriented version titled Wilma Tetris for the Wintermute engine in 2003.

Another AGI Tetris was developed for the AGI engine by Chad Goulding in 2004.
