The Adventure Company was originally founded in January 2002 as a division of DreamCatcher Interactive. In 2006, Dreamcatcher became a wholly owned subsidiary of JoWooD Productions Software. On August 16, 2011, Nordic Games purchased JoWood and some of their brands and subsidiaries. The Adventure Company is now a publishing label of Nordic Games.
