The Vampire Diaries is a point-and-click graphic adventure game from HeR Interactive, loosely based on the series of novels of the same name by author L. J. Smith. You play as high school student Elena Gilbert who, following an attack on her younger sister, discovers that there are vampires living in her hometown.

The game comes on three CDs, all of which need to be extracted to the same location. Specifically, the files required are:

Controls
The game is controlled with the mouse, with optional keyboard movement using the arrow keys. Clicking with the right mouse button or holding Ctrl/Cmd allows for faster movement.
