Castle Master/Demos

There are a number of Castle Master demos for different platforms, some of them are interactive while others are non-interactive. Interactive demos will allow to play a couple of areas and challenge the player to get some maximum score. These demos, as well as other Freescape games ones, can be freely downloaded here.

DOS demos

Castle Master demo (March 1990?). This playable demo offers a few areas to explore. Allows CGA and EGA graphics.

Amiga demos

• Unknown origin rolling demo (1990). This non-interactive demo offers a tour over a few areas of the game.

• Stampede issue 1 (July 1990). This non-interactive demo offers a tour over a few areas of the game.

Additional options

Using the option "disable demo mode", ScummVM allows to interactively visit the areas in the demos. While the demos do not include the full game, it is currently unknown how complete are in terms of data/scripts included.
