Macromedia

Macromedia was a graphics, multimedia, and web development software company that was founded in 1992 when Authorware merged with MacroMind-Paracomp. The latter company developed Director, an interactive multimedia-authoring tool that continued development under Macromedia, where it was used in several adventure games. The company closed when it was acquired by Adobe in 2005.
