Penumbra: Overture is a first-person, 3D survival horror adventure.
It was originally designed as a tech demo for the HPL1 engine, but it eventually evolved into the first episode (out of three) of the Penumbra series.
After receiving an unexpected letter, the protagonist travels to Greenland, where he discovers an isolated underground complex.
He must then investigate the horrors it hides within and try to find a way to escape.
