'''LOOMLoom''' was the fourth game to use the [[SCUMM]] scripting language. The game follows Bobbin Threadbare as he learns how to use his magical powers through his distaff and as he eventually saves the world from the Lord of Chaos, who was unraveling the Loom (the source of power for the members of the weaver's guild).

The PC DOS CD version of this was a "talkie version" presented in 256 colors, however unlike most talkie games the speech came from CDDA tracks on the CD. Due to limitations in lip-syncing at the time, the PC-DOS CD version did not include the scenes where the characters were presented in close-up shots. The FM-Towns CD version was also presented in 256 colors, however it was not a talkie. As a result, the close-up shots were present in the FM-Towns versions.
The PC DOS floppy EGA version contained only 16 colors. ==Data Files==All of the files required for LOOM to run '''''Amiga, FM-TOWNS**, Macintosh, PC EGA, PC Demo'''''**.LFL'''''PC CD**'''''*DISK01.LEC**.LFL ==Platform Compatibility==List of platforms where LOOM is known to work / not to work\\Amiga, Atari ST, FM-TOWNS, Macintosh and PC versions supported by this target {| border="0"|-|Legend:|-|style="background:lightgreen;width:100px"|Completable|-|style="background:#ffff77;width:100px"|Not Completable|-|style="background:#ff7777;width:100px"|Doesn't Work|-|} {| border="1" cellpadding="2" width=100%|+LOOM Compatibility by Platform|- style="background:silver"|Platform||Status||% Completed|- style="background:lightgreen"|Windows||Completable||95%|- style="background:lightgreen"|Linux||Completable||95%|- style="background:lightgreen"|MacOS||Completable||95%|- style="background:lightgreen"|Dreamcast||Completable||95%|}
