Toshiba EMI, founded on October 1, 1960, was one of Japan's leading music companies.
Toshiba sold its 45% stake on June 30, 2007, after which it became EMI Music Japan.
It closed as a company and became a label after it was absorbed into Universal Music Japan on April 1, 2013.
They developed the Director game Alice: An Interactive Museum.
