The Excavation of Hob's Barrow is a classic point-and-click mystery adventure with horror elements.
The main character is Tomasina Bateman, an antiquarian from London that moves to the English countryside to conduct a dig of the Hob's Barrow, a burial ground supposedly rich in local lore.
The entire game is narrated as a flashback from her point of view, as she recollects the fateful events of the titular "excavation".
The game uses a low resolution retro style and stays loyal to the common gameplay mechanics (requiring item combinations and puzzle solving).
Installation
See Required data files (AGS).
Versions
For most of its development period, the game was called INCANTAMENTUM, and a couple demo versions have been released under this name.
These versions should work with ScummVM, but are untested.
