Chronicle of Innsmouth: Mountains of Madness is a point-and-click adventure based on Lovecraft's works, and the sequel to Chronicle of Innsmouth.
The player controls private detective Lone Carter who, after miraculously surviving the events of the previous game, returns to his hometown of Arkham to continue investigating on gruesome murders and unholy rituals.
This sequel drops the "comedic" aspects that were present in the previous game and uses an art style closer to the horror classics such as Dark Seed.

Status
The game is completable since ScummVM 2.8.0, but some cutscenes are not displayed (audio and texts work, but pictures are not shown).
The cutscenes can be played manually using a video player such as VLC.
The game is quite resource-heavy and may not be playable on low spec machines.
