The Blackwell Deception is the fourth installment in the Blackwell series, and once again stars Rosangela Blackwell and the ghost Joey Mallone.
In this episode, after being informed by an old coworker, Rosa investigates a series of suspect deaths possibly linked to a cult, also dealing with a psych fraudster.

The game doesn't stray from the gameplay of the predecessors, with just the introduction of a smartphone (as a replacement for the home computer) and a few "escape the room" style puzzles.
It is the first game in the series featuring a 640x480 resolution (instead of 320x240).
