The SAGA engine (Scripts for Animated Graphic Adventures) was originally developed by The Dreamers Guild, Inc. in 1993 and partly rewritten for the later games, thus it's split into two separate engines in ScummVM.
The rights to Halls of the Dead: Faery Tale Adventure II were later obtained by The Wyrmkeep Entertainment, who provided the source code of the original engine to the ScummVM team.
