Dynamix
Dynamix was an American video game developer founded in Eugene, Oregon in 1984 by Jeff Tunnell and Damon Slye. In 1990 Dynamix was purchased by Sierra. After Sierra's parent company was acquired by Vivendi Universal in 2000, they decided to restructure various companies they had acquired in the deal. Dynamix was closed on August 14, 2001 as part of this restructuring.
Dynamix produced a variety of games including simulations (Red Baron, A10 Tank Killer), puzzle (The Incredible Machine), and several adventure games with their DGDS engine (Rise of the Dragon, Heart of China, The Adventures of Willy Beamish, and Quarky & Quaysoo's Turbo Science), as well as contributing to the development of Space Quest V (SCI engine).
The DGDS engine was also used for a Space Quest V demo, a non-interactive CES demo, and the Johnny Castaway screensaver.
